1. If you can still remember you Jamroom Master Admin password, log in to your Jamroom and from the Admin Menu, choose the “Admin Profile” option. On this form you can specify a new Master Admin password.
2. If you have forgotten your Master Admin password, it is a bit more work to change the Master Admin password. Follow these steps:

• First, within the downloadable Jamroom archive you will find a file called “settings.tar.gz”. Within this archive you will find a file called “settings.php”. Unzip this and upload the settings.php file in to your Jamroom directory on your web server - i.e.

/home/username/public_html/jamroom/settings.php

• Next, run the settings.php script from within your browser - i.e.:

http://yoursite.com/jamroom/settings.php

You will be presented with a form that allows you to change the MySQL database information and/or the Jamroom Master Admin password. Leave the MySQL database settings fields blank when you are only changing the Master Admin password. Set the new password on this form and submit the form.

Next, make sure you delete the settings.php script - leaving it in place is a very big security risk. If you forget, Jamroom will warn you with an error when you log in as the Master Admin.

That’s it - your Master Admin password has now been reset.
