Is there plans to integrate Authorize.net into jamroom or some other payment mod because paypal is a rip off, or does anyone know of a company that could build me my own payment system for my site?

Jamroom already supports authorize.net - authorize.net and 2checkout are one and the same.

They actually aren't - 2checkout simply supports authorize.net's parameters, or at least that is what I understand.

There are no plans to add any further _individual_ merchant plugins to Jamroom - what we're looking at doing is integrating with Shopify:

http://www.shopify.com/

which gives us instant support for over 25 different payment processors. I'm still doing some investigation on if it is fully going to work or not, but at this point that is the goal.

Hope this helps!

- Brian

Just curious Brian..

If doable with Shopify, would that be integrated to include not just digital sales but merchandise as well?

Every time I turn around you're integrating something bigger and better! Awesome to see Kyle and the rest of the team helping to make this all happen so efficiently.

Thanks guys,

-Rob

Integrating payment gateways are probably the most time consuming development effort you can do in Jamroom - each one is completely different then every other one, so you end up with A LOT of new code and testing, so it can be expensive to develop. If it is something you must have, shoot me an email at support@jamroom.net with your requirements.

Hope this helps!

so to clarify, you can use 2checkout payment option in jamroom even though your payment gateway is authorize.net? or would doing that would be a ton of work and code like mentioned above. We are stuck in authorize.net too and noticed here and there in jamroom documentation 2checkout is listed the same as authorize.net, so we got confused by the "supports authorize.net parameters," Just wanted to make sure this is not easily possible before we went another direction on payments.

thanks.

To be honest, I'm no longer 100% sure of this - at one point 2checkout would support authorize.net parameters - that was to help ease the transition of users leaving Authorize.net and coming over to 2checkout. However, I don't believe it goes the other way (although at one point this did seem to be the case).

We're actually moving away from supporting 2checkout, since they've shut down (out of the blue) several Jamroom sites in the past due to their (incorrect) belief that the sites were offering "pirated music":

https://www2.2checkout.com/documentation/prohibited.html

2checkout seems to be against allowing most Social Media sites as well - they'll find a reason to block you.

So in summary, at this time there's really no support for Authorize.net.

Sorry!
