sorry I haven't been around for a while. got unavoidably sidetracked.
The difference between
action 1, 2, 3 and
sale 1, 2, 3
is whatever you want to assign them too. an Action is something that doesnt have a sales value. something like a signup. the user does not pay any money to sign up, so there is no way to pay a % of that to the affiliate. so an action is something that MUST have a fixed value only.
A SALE, is something that does have a fixed value, like a song. but just because it HAS a value, doesn't mean that you have to pay a percentage. you can choose.
by default when the module is installed, it is set up with some default values like a new sign up as action 1 but nothing for action 2 or action 3 and the sales are set up for shopping cart sales and for subscription upgrades, and one sale is left free just in case you need to pay your affiliates for something custom that only your system has.
If you need to do something custom for a sale that only your system has then use the code beneith SALE 3 on the THANK YOU page of your custom sales system and give it a name in the affiliate area.
the extra ones are to give you room to customize if needed.
