Hi
I've written my first iPhone app to pull data from a JR site and show it in the app.
The JR site is http://efsb.co.uk and its a single artist site, so the app is tailored to that, and its pretty basic at the moment, but I'm still finding my way around and seeing what the SDK I'm using is capable of Very Happy
My plan is to write general purpose app(s) for JR sites, but that might be some time off yet.

Its not in the app store yet but those of you with iPhones can try it out - Instructions below. Because its on appMobi's cloud, you need to install their app in order to see mine - a bit confusing but it seems to work.

Anyway, if anyone does try it, let me know what you think.
Cheers
Pa

Requirements:
- A testing device: Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, or any smartphone running Android 2.X.
- You must have appMobi's app.lab app installed on the testing device. If you don't have it, you'll need to go to the App Store or Android Market and install it. Search for "applab" to find it.

Then, simply hit the launch button to run the app project.

Here's today's offering. Navigate around the app by swiping the screen.

Paul this is looking great. Love the latest updates. I tested my iphone on it and it worked pretty well. I could not swipe after the 3rd bullet. I had to click the bullet to get to page 4. Other than that, songs and videos played fine. Good job!!

From the third screen onwards, the LR swiping is just on the top title bar. The body of the page swiped up and down. Is that the problem?
Thanks
Pa

Yes that is it. The arrows look more like logos so I was not scrolling at the top. I would try and stay consistent to what the users are comfortable with ie. same scroll type on each page. I was not aware you had up and down scrolling until you mentioned it. By looking at the bottom blue bullets, it looks like there is only seven pages.

I like where you are going Paul. Just make it more intuitive to the user and I think you hit a home run.

The SDK that I'm using has the option to compile for either iPhone or Android so should be OK.
The message that the SDK generates (quoted above) implies that this test will also work with an Android 2.x device.
I don't have one. If you do, can you try it and let me know?
Thanks
Pa
