With many users now updating to Jamroom 4, please make sure and read the Jamroom 4 Upgrade Guide:

There are some important steps in there, especially the part about renaming the "sefjam_htaccess" file to ".htaccess". Without doing this, many of your URLS will not work!

Also, when upgrading Jamroom, you need to be sure you upgrade ALL of the Jamroom add-ons to the SAME release as Jamroom. In other words, you cannot run Jamroom PowerPack 3.4.3 on Jamroom 4.0.1 - you must run Jamroom Power Pack 4.0.1 as well!

I looked for upgrades to the add ons in your store and did not see them. Otherwise, they appeared to not be available as an option when selecting the upgrades. I have JR version 3.3.0 and I want to continue having the same functionality that I had originally with the Pro package. Also, I've looked around and I have not seen this issue addressed. If I missed it, please guide an old guy in the right direction and accept my humble apologies.

P.S. I've noticed a few issues when I ran a server check after moving to JB Servers. Should I correct any 3.3.0 problems before upgrading? Thank you.

Almost all errors can be resolved by running jamroom tools -> integrity check. If not send a support ticket. You should at least get up to jr 3.4.3 though in the meantime.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll give that a try. I hope you didn't miss the first part of my question. I know I shouldn't send "two parters". I did not see an option to upgrade to 4.0 add ons that would give me the same functionality as my Pro package 3.3. Am I missing something?

So far I have everything going great.

I did run into a couple of bugs with the theme players. The Ratings, Plays and Downloads are displaying undefined and when you get the embed code from the copy and paste feature I get this: http://www.rpm-bands.com/members/105/musicsnipper.txt

The new players in both the Nova and Flashback themes use custom playlists now. The custom playlists are what make all the items work in the player. So you need to make sure any calls to the player also include the call to the custom playlist they use. With the Flashback players you would need to make sure you have the "fb_2.default.tpl" and "fb_2.php" custom playlist files installed in the "include/plugins/jrPlaylist" directory. Then the call to those playlist files would be format=fb_2 installed in your embed code displaying the player on your page, but there are different ways of using this code depending on the method your using to display (embed) the player in your page.

If you look at the stock Jamroom templates you'll see how the format=fb_2 code is being used in each one.

If you still need help, hit me up by email and I'll see if I can help you get your templates corrected.

I've checked out everything on your site and it all seems fine. All templates are as they should be but the {jr_flash_player} function in the theme_header.tpl doesn't seem to be processing correctly.

This looks like it might be a small Bug in the {jr_flash_player} function.
I've reported this to Brian and Kyle so they can look into it.

Hi I originally purchased jamroom 3 professional - I upgraded after discussion with sales and after activating my license I cannot get access to the other add on downloads that was included in my original purchase.
I have attempted to contact support several times but cannot get any answer.

I have uploaded jamroom4 and bonus pack but I cannot access admin

the log file shows calls to undefined function - fatal errors - so I am stuck waiting for someone to respond

I do see your email from today, but I don't see one before that.
And I will need to get Brian or Kyle to look at this, as I don't have access to the license area.

It sounds like not all of the files have been updated to the same version - make sure that you upload the latest updates for _all_ of the Jamroom packs that you have so they are running the same version, i.e. Jamroom core 4.2.3, Jamroom bonus pack 4.2.3, Jamroom power pack 4.2.3.

I'm having a strange problem. I'm the new manager for a Jamroom server, and rooting through our server, I found a (nearly) complete set of the Jamroom software in 3 different locations! I'm trying to figure out which is the real one and which are bizarre legacy copies from earlier developers.

First, though, I'd like to update JR to the latest version. I've followed the upgrade instructions for all 3 locations (i.e., copied the changed files to each). However, when I log in as master admin, I do not receive a prompt to check database integrity. I've done that check by running the tool by hand. Nevertheless, when I do a server check, it still says we're running 4.2.3!

Any idea what's going on here, or why I can't update JR?

I have just purchased a $199.00 media pro template from you along with an unlimited artist license upgrade from Jamroom 3 to Jamroom 4. I am having a problem downloading the jamroom 4 powerpack and payment pack, because I have 2 accounts with you that I've had for years and they have different email addresses, so I purchased the upgrade with the account that doesn't have the license.

What can I do now?
