I have just uploaded the new Jamroom SoundManager2 Module to the Jamroom 4 Modules section of the Jamroom Marketplace:

This new module creates a new "player_type" for the {jr_flash_player} function - "soundmanager". This is turn creates a special audio "button" player that has some advantages over the "traditional" flash based button player:

• The SoundManager button player features a javascript interface to a flash object, which means you can have as many different button players as you want on a single page. Flash has issues when trying to load "a lot" of buttons players at once (more then 15 or so) - this player does not have that issue.
  
• Being javascript based, it is MUCH faster to load. This is because the flash object is not created until the user actually clicks on the play button.
  

It is configurable to use your own play/pause images, and is highly recommended if your site features pages that have a lot of "button" players on a single page (I know several of the Oinkba skins are setup this way).

Note that the SoundManager2 module is a free module for all Jamroom license holders.

no... this still plays audio through a flash object - multiple players can be playing at the same time if the user wishes.

just out of curiosity, is jeroen player not longer supported....i know it supports up to v4 but version 5 is already out..

I have made some additions to the soundmanager player, and switching between tracks (rather than them all loading at once is possible), so I expect you will have a solution soon.

I also noticed i uploaded this module and i dont see it when i do a server check..

There are no database entries associated with the module, so there's no need to run an integrity check.
