I have just updated the Jamroom 4 downloads page:

http://www.jamroom.net/Downloads4_Core

with the latest release of Jamroom + add ons, version 4.2.5. There are a number of bug fixes and small tweaks in this release:

http://www.jamroom.net/index.php?m=td_tracker&o=browse&v=4.2.5

and I want to thank Greg for his work on the update Flash Button player that is included. If you are running any version of Jamroom 4, I recommend updating to this new release.

If anyone sees any issues or has any questions, feel free to post here Wink

I hope you enjoy the new release!

- Brian

Then you have updated it incorrectly. When you download the change set, it will create a directory called something like:

Code

jamroom-4.2.5-to-4.2.6

You need to upload the files that are inside of that directory to your jamroom directory - do not upload that actual directory.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I haven't updated nor have I attempted to try. I found out about the new release as a result of going about normal activity on my Jamroom site when I noticed that my song images stopped being sizing correctly. Now every time I upload an new image, it shows up as the originally uploaded size rather than automatically being resized down (go here to see what's happening --> http://thexfactory.net/AnIndustrialMind_com/audio.php?p=2). After many attempts at re-uploading different sized images. I found that the updates in my "Server Check" Section seems to be disabling the following items:

x Core 4.2.3 - version 4.2.5 is available!
x Bonus Pack 4.2.3 - version 4.2.5 is available!
x Power Pack 4.2.3 - version 4.2.5 is available!
x Payment Pack 4.2.3 - version 4.2.5 is available!
x Skin Pack 4.2.3 - version 4.2.5 is available!
x Cluster Server 4.2.3 - version 4.2.5 is available!
x Jukebox 4.2.3 - version 4.2.5 is available!

Please help as this seemingly automatic update is interfering with the normal operation of my Jamroom site.

Thanks.

That is just a notification - it should not break anything on your site. If things were working properly, and then stopped, then most likely something changed on your server. If it was Jamroom-related, you would have had to change a setting or something to make the behavior change.

If this helps I'm getting this error repeatedly when viewing my logs:
20:31:07 CRI admin "ip address" [image.php] jrCreateResizedImage() maximum cached images (300) exceeded for band_id 67 - reset image caches

Seems to to happen as a result of uploading images. Is there something that I should "RESET" in Jamroom?

Thanks.

Ahh yes Jamroom will do prevent too many cached images from being created and taking up disk space. You can reset the image caches from the System Tools > Reset Jamroom Caches, and check the option to reset image caches.

Sounds like this might work. My options under "System Tools > Reset Caches" are a little different. I'm running the 4.2.3 version. Just to be on the safe side, please tell me which of the following options would be the most effective (* = items that are automatically selected when I view the page):

- Delete Cached Profile Images
- Delete Cached Default Images
* Reset Cached Templates
* Reset Database Cache
- Reset Forum Caches

Please advise. Thanks!

Check both of the options with "image" in them.

All seems to have worked very well! Thank you very much my friend.

P.S. I did have to rebuild all of the profiles afterward.
