I've just updated the Jamroom Sound Manager module in the marketplace:

http://www.jamroom.net/Marketplace_Modules

to version 1.4.0 - this is an update that includes an upgrade to the latest Sound Manager SWF player, and should function properly now in sites that are trying to load it via an AJAX call.

If anyone sees any issues, please feel free to let us know Wink

Thanks!

- Brian

I'll test this on the ranking pages tomorrow when I get online - today I tested on the Nova profile theme's song detail pages where I had had issues before, and it works, but I'll see what's up with the ranking pages.

Thanks!

They dont disappear on my ranking pages navigation pages, they just dont play. They only play on the first page you go to on my website.

I see the player still has the same issues on some AJAX loads as it used to, so at this time consider it "half fixed" (basically it will not load via an AJAX page as long as the page did not previously load a SoundManager call).

Going forward I would suggest using our button player - i.e.

Code

{jr_flash_player player_type="`$JAMROOM_URL`/include/flash/button/musicplayer.swf" band_id=$BAND_ID song_id=$SONG_ID}

as it does not rely on Javascript for loading.

Thanks!

- Brian

This player completely screws up the layout of my page. Everything goes out of alignment.

Note that you'll want to set height/width to suit your needs. I just set it up on the beta site:

http://beta.jamroom.net/lists/songs

and don't see any issues. I'm using:

Code

{jr_flash_player player_type="`$JAMROOM_URL`/include/flash/button/musicplayer.swf" band_id=$BAND_ID song_id=$SONG_ID width="25" height="25"}

Thanks!

Your running Jamroom 4.2.3 and that player is the Fabricio Zuardi button player.
You might want to make sure you include a Height or Width parameters in the code Brian is giving you above and also make sure the Jamroom Template where your putting the button player is coded to accept the size of the button player your installing in it or it could mess up your layout.

Hope this makes sense.........
Greg -

EDIT: SORRY..........
I just noticed Brian already posted above..... Wink

Ok works great with height and width. Can you make the actual player button bigger. Its too small.

Also, what benefits does this player have if I upgrade to the latest version?

Set your height/width bigger then - it will go pretty large.

You'll be able to make it larger, and it looks nicer.

Hope this helps!
