All steps compelted. How do I actually display it on my Facebook page? How do I display that new app?

Facebook warning: Secure Canvas URL will be required on October 1, 2011.

What does this mean for this facebookApp?

The app will work for facebook pages but it is not yet designed for pages. The app canvas is 760px where are the pages canvas is only 520px. We first want to release for the app canvas then move on to page canvas.

for the facebookApp, you would need a secure url i.e with https://urdomain...... instead of http:// only. You would need to pay the hosting provider to provide you SSL certificate for your domain

Arrrggghhh.. I can't do that. Ugh. So in a couple weeks, I just waisted that much money. I didn't see that in your Marketplace lisitng that SSL was required. Can I please get a refund?

This is new thing facebook recently added. I wasn't aware until you pointed out to me. Facebook doesn't even send a message to developers that they are changing the rules for future.

the player is generated by the file "player.tpl" inside the template folder. Change the code based on this documentation. http://www.jamroom.net/Jamroom4_jr_flash_player

Give special attention to your player dimensions as we have limited space to work with.

Yeah it's a little tricky. I tried the "slim" player and the soundmanager. They seem to have an issue of disappearing on the app page. The sound manager player with the 360 skin if worked right I think can give this app a bit of a bang.

I have been making templates for the app to be added to Fan pages. If your interested in a copy of what I have done PM me your email addy.

Demo of the Fan page in action: CLICK HERE

*I won't have everything https until tomorrow. You may have to turn off safe browsing temporarily to view.

Also if your account is with JBservers it's only $3 a month to set up a static ip and godaddy.com has SSL Certificates going dirt cheap.

i tried with all the players that comes with standard jamroom license. The only player that fit with this app was old flash player. Greg(from dsflashplayer) had shown interest in making a custom flash player for this module. I don't know it he still has such a plan.

what is a soundmanager player? haven't come across that one.
i can't access facebook from this computer. I will look into your fan pages when i get back home.

i checked the soundmanager module. I don't think it would be too hard to integrate into the app. jamroom even has module for that. problem is want to make the app less dependent on other modules. When other module gets updated, things will start to crash on facebookApp module. but if i see enough interest, then we can always do such integration.

I think his colored button players would be a very cool addition. In the module instructions a small tutorial on how to change players might be appreciated.

Let me know what you think of the Fan page when you get a chance. My hacking skills are limited but you may be able to clean them up or modify yours.

A place for the site logo I think should be added.

I can see this working for lots of sites. Especially if they offer the app out to other Fan pages. It could give several promoters a chance to support the host sites music and give their fans music to discover.

I have added the place for the site logo. i looked at your fan page, it looks nice. I see that css is shared with Nova. I will analyze some of your codes to get some of your idea.

Check out the demo app. We have added cool features and let us know what you think.

It's looking pretty cool. I was talking to one of my friends in a band last night who was checking it out. He brought up a point. Search box's are cool but seldom used when searching for unsigned artist.

He suggested searching by genre and location like a check box or drop down menu would be much more effective for fans.
