When will this be fixed and avail for beta DL????

Its been in the Change tracker since 1/24/13
and has been broken for far longer... It is making visitors annoyed...
& starting to have negative impacts on site traffic...
by diminishing overall site activity

Please help Jamroom Gods!

I looked at it yesterday and could not see a fix.

It seams to be that the 1m timer starts from when the user hits the page. Its not working properly.

The current work around is to turn off the timer which does eliminate the problem.

That is not a solution, it should work properly, but its also not such a high priority with all the work that still needs to be done on JR5.

so for "When will this be fixed" the answer is not soon.

The turn off the setting option is a recipe for spam.
It is advised that you guys stop selling v4 to people...and also stop selling the modules.
If you are blatantly drawing the line at not supporting it.

It is lame quite honestly that your guys are not supporting v4 when v5 is not even prod ready.

What about people that purchased virtually every module and upgrade?

I have seen a decrease in the forum entries and an increased frustration level.

Sad.

Sorry.

There are only so many hours in the day. Not meaning to not support it, it will just take some time to get too.

Michael has brought this to my attention - I'm checking this out and will see what's up.

Okay - I've read the other forum thread on this issue, and I believe it is working as it should (although I know that's not what some of you want to hear). The issue here is that all the logic to tell if someone has rated an item is tied to the user's IP address - it is setup this way on purpose to prevent the same user from logging out/logging in to several different accounts to rate items (and thus "game" the rating system). I'm basing this on what I am reading here:

http://www.jamroom.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=41918

i.e. logging out then back in you're getting the "you must wait to rate this" message.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!

- Brian

I will give it a try and let you know if it is resolved.
Thanks
