Great stuff. I looked into the Sefjam URLs as well but the demo didn't seem to be working on the demo site. Is there an alternative site I can look at?

Also how much difference can clouds make to your page ranking? I'm keen to work on getting higher up the search engine rankings at the moment.

I'll let you know if I run into any issues with the Sitemap builder.

sefjam.com is down for the time being, I'm using it to test something.

For today take a look at http://eclectimix.com - sorry it is a very basic demo, none of the templates have been changed or anything, just jamroom loaded plus the sefjam script and the htaccess file.

I'm not personally from Bradford but my business partner is and the site is registered in his name.

I'll take a look at that demo.

Sitemap works amazingly well thanks. Google's been and indexed it already and found 0 errors which is far better than the 51 errors I had before on my out of date sitemap.

Really impressed, best £12.50 I've spent in a while.

How hard would Sefjam URLs be to install on Flashback? Is it a big job?

Also do updates cause it problems?

Updates shouldn't be a problem, but they have sure been a hassle today! I'm not sure what the problem is as many sites have been updated to 3.2.5 without any problems, but one or two are showing strange behaviour and so far it has proved impossible to pin down.

Basic install of SefJam urls is very easy: check that all quotas have friendly urls set to yes and custom urls set to no, upload the script, add to your .htaccess file (.htaccess is an "invisible" file so you have to set your ftp app to show this, many will show it by default) and you have readable urls.

For best seo effect you would edit your templates to replace {$ARTIST_URL} with

This will place your artist names into your source code links rather than their member number - artist names are effectively "keywords" readable by search engines, members/798/ is meaningless to them. If you do this in the artist theme you will need to regenerate your sites. You can get max effect for minimum effort by making this edit in the artist theme menu and the skin ranking template.

It does a few other tricks as well, but menus (the links database rewrites) are best left alone - the urls in "modern" skins/themes are much shorter and more readable that when I first made SefJam.
