Could this be related to Kyle's login script? I did see a post where someone else mentioned an issue keeping users logged in since upgrading to 3.3.8. I will run some tests with the old login and see if I still have the issue.

Kyle I love having the dual login. If this is related to your code, PLEASE DO NOT ABANDON IT!

oh additionally I was looking at the code for the "Remember Me" cookie. On the login.tpl file, this has: name="jr_cookie" but I changed my "Session Name" to be my site name a long time ago. Should that "name" reflect jm_cookie or the Session Name?

it should be jm_cookie - that is the field that Jamroom looks for to set the session.

Ok That is what it is set to currently Kyle. I also tried adding value="on" but I was logged out after 20 mins or so. I am trying the original login script now to see what happens. The complaint from a few coming in is that they are logged in and start writing a review and go to post and they are told they need to be logged in. They lose the review at that point and have to start over. No one had the issue before the upgrade to 3.3.8 but as I said, I made this change around that time as well so I am not sure where it could be happening.

I think I may have fixed this. Very odd. The previous code had the cookie code below the submit button. I changed it to be above the submit and it seems to be working now.

Yeah, the cookie needs to be before the submit, sorry!

you know what is odd is the original code I had from Zorag had it after the submit on both the side and default login. That is why it was throwing me because it worked before. Anyway it seems to be working now and the dual login rocks!

So far the only one I've attempted is phpBB3, and was able to get it to work. It seems that the only "problem" for each third party app is that you have to figure out which "extra" form fields need to be included in the login form. For example, in phpBB3, the login form requires the "login" field (which I didn't realize) in order for the login to work.

excellent coding trick, i'll be giving this a whirl over the weekend.. this is something that we've been looking to solve for awhile now. We have a development server that we do our testing on, i'll try this with JR 3.4.0 and a fresh copy of phpBB 3.0.2 see if it will fly, would be awesome if it did!

nice find! be back in a min

Well just wanted to say it great work Kyle. I tried it today and worked great. I have a question, would something like this work for a dual Sign Up pages? *So if they sign up for the site it adds the account to the to the forum db as a the same time. Or does each member have to always sign up there as well?
Thanks,
