Now that I'm investing more and more time into my site, I feel that I should learn to understand the coding better.

For the beginner, where should I start? PHP? Smarty? HTML?

Jamroom is really amazing....and I'm hoping to learn more....so I can avoid asking dumb questions! :>

Thanks guys!!!!!!

you learn by doing, so just try to do something, ask for help and see what you can build.

html is the base building block of the web so learning that is important

you probably wont be touching php if all your doing is jamroom.

CSS almost gives you TOO MUCH control over how a page looks that it can be confusing, but once you start to get it it can change the whole look of a page.

and smarty is what _your_ jamroom is built on so its the easiest to start with.

good luck

Start with HTML/CSS - you can know all of the php and smarty you want, but if you don't know how to change the width of a div, you're not going to be able to do much.
