Virtual Servers are now available (though we're still working on beautifying the page you find them on).
Features;
Built on high speed raid redundant drives with high availability
Tons of HN CPU and RAM power (the core of what makes virtual servers run)
10G HN networking, up to 1G port speed for virtual servers
Automated NAS snapshot backups with optional secondary backup scheduling, and full access to restore backups yourself (the entire server, or particular files or groups of files and folders)
Full virtual server control panel (control via SSH from anywhere on the web, change root password, and more)
Optional control panel (cpanel, plesk coming)
Full root access to the server
Backed with our SLA as part of the service agreement
Virtual servers can support maximum 4 processors and 8GB ram (at the moment, 8 processor and 16GB ram max coming soon) and up to 1000Mbps port speed for high speed streaming. Virtual servers are basically a complete dedicated server without the hassles and failures of hardware, built on full redundancy to eliminate hardware point of failure.
As with all our hosting services, automated system backups are NOT counted against your disk space allocation and do not cost extra.
I don't really know what else to put here about it at the moment. I guess if there are any questions, contact us or post here

It all sounds pretty impressive, as well as being mostly over my head
Does this affect/improve my hosting accounts with you or is it for those at another level with dedicated servers etc?
Whatever, well done !! I'm impressed with your hard work and dedication.
Cheers

Its completely different.
Its a full on server with full root access for users who want to install things not supported under regular hosting (like flash servers or voice servers, game servers, etc), or just want a server all to themselves. They can really be used for anything, but are more along the line of dedicated servers.

This is the VDS setup that I'm now running for all my domains (including Jamroom.net here). I can't say how awesome it is - seriously, I know of no other hosting provider offering this type of dedicated server setup, with full HA (hardware) failover, backups, etc. - DJ, you've really outdone yourself on this setup, it flat our rocks
Note that servers provisioned with Cpanel will come with centOS 5.2 by default per Cpanel requirements.
Plesk with 30 or 100 domain licensing including powerpack now available as well... This also runs on CentOS 5.2
*I would strongly recommend cpanel over plesk for jamroom servers, if you must have a control panel at all, as cpanel on virtual servers has a significantly lower footprint then plesk at around 15-30MB/ram. Cpanel tends to be a bit more idiot proof as well, and Cpanel support is much more responsive then parallels (what can I say, I've called parallels about 10 times and emailed twice in the last 4 months, I still have yet to hear back from them). Offering any parallels product licensing is against my better judgement, but some folks seem to like it.

Virtual Dedicated Servers are now available with full server management. Two options of server management and administration are available, both use a flatrate VERY AFFORDABLE- a monthly option to guarantee an admin available to install/configure server software and maintain the server, and a one month option for users who just need specific help for a short time and can take control from there. Feel free to contact us for more information and pricing on full server management upgrades.
Server management includes turn-key "server profiles" for jamroom based servers, and many other CMS setups, dedicated backup/file server configurations, high security setups, performance centric setups, and pretty much anything required.

There is a nice newly arranged interface for VDS servers showing their physical location, resource allocation and usage, and a bit about the hardware from the hardware node the VDS is running on as well as reverse DNS management controls all in one spot. Cool stuff
An example;
VDS Server Specs
Server Location: Dallas, TX, U.S.A.
Processors: 2 CPU Core(s) Intel Xeon-Harpertown 5340
Network Link: 100/Mbps Intel PRO/1000 MT
Bandwidth Allocated: 210.36GB/2000GB Tier 1
Hard Drive: 63.85GB/160GB Raid 10 10k/rpm
RAM: 827MB/2GB ECC FB-DIMM DDR2
IP Reverse DNS/PTR Management
Note, a reverse DNS/PTR record ALWAYS ends with 1 period.

Hi DJM,
I was curious to know, If i go for a VDS set up with you guys will I be able to install the cluster as a subdomain?, as I only need the cluster for conversions.
Many Thanks,
LM
If you want. We don't really care what people do with VDS servers unless it breaks the law or TOS/AUP.
Seems like cluster hosting would be cheaper and less to maintain though.
Hope this helps!
well when i checked it said that 6mos of vds@20gb was 149.00
and 6mos of jamroom hosting @20gb was 259.00
so not sure how that would be cheaper. If i am missing something pls let me know.
also does cpanel come with the server or is that an additional cost , and if so , how much?
Many Thanks.
Hi DJ,
after some more research , I see that if I purchased the jr2_2gb for the master and jcs6_6gb for the cluster to start it would be considerably cheaper. I have gone ahead and purchased.
Just waiting on the setup emails.
Many Thanks.
