I use heidisql, a desktop mysql interface, to work with my databases locally. Can i connect it to my jbservers database?

I would imagine yes - you would just need to set up a remote mysql connection in cpanel to your IP

I don't know the heidisql but I don't think it's much different from MySQLAdministrator which I use for working with my database. I connect directly to the database and I can edit the database or download the database. How I connect is like this: for server I insert the IP address of the database server, for user name I insert the database master user ID, and the I add the password and connect.

So i added my ip in cpanel and now i can access but i only see the information_schema table. I have other tables but they arent showing. Any ideas?

I had orignally put in the ip address. I just put in the url and it works correctly now.
