Firstly, NewsLetter is not a 'User Theme', but a theme for Admins.
It is based on the Motagator Homepage theme, and has been developed as a means to build an ongoing 'Newsletter' that can then be available online, or can be mailed to a subscriber list. A pseudo band (called 'Newsletter', say) needs to be created by the Admin, and this theme allocated to it. The 'Band Story', Band Image', 'Band Members' and 'Influences' fields generate the headline section, then any news-worthy items just get added as messages, so that when its time to send out the newsletter, its ready to go with a minimum of editing.
The theme includes ranking and newchart calls to display all the latest tracks, bands and charts etc., as well as a couple of custom spotlight calls for 'Band of the Month' etc. Graphics (jpg) for the top, left side and bottom are in the images folder so that they can be customised for your own site look and feel.
You can use the NewsLetter theme 'out of the box', but its really here to give an idea of what can be done, and for you to use these templates as a basis for your own newsletters.
