one of the sort of weird things about the license is its perpetual.

So if my license runs out at say 24th of december, but i purchase a renewal today, that 1 year will extend it from the end of my license.

But the reverse is also true, if my license ran out 4 months ago and i renewed it it would start from 4 months ago. So in situations like that, it makes more sense to buy a new one than to renew. thats how i ended up with 2 licenses.

@american Phpstorm is not run by jamroom, Its just a great php development environment tool. An IDE (integrated development environment)

The sale that was on when this thread started is well over, but they sometimes have other ones.

Just need to keep an eye on their twitter account as things usually get announced there pretty quick
