I'm having problems with the Jamroom Facebook Login on my site, the button to "Grant extra permissions for Facebook Connect" is missing, and when I go in to edit my profile and click YES to post to Facebook it brings me back to the "Grant extra permissions for Facebook Connect Page" only this time the Facebook login button appears and when I click the button a small box appears and fades away immediately... LOL It's like a cycle that keeps repeating itself but I'm never allowed to select yes to post from my site to Facebook... I've provided a link below...

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance...

James

Hi Michael,

It's not functioning properly on the other skins either... Please go to the site and try logging in with the FaceBook app to better understand the issues I'm dealing with: http://tunekingdom.com/index.php

Any suggestions?...

Thanks in advance,

James

Hi Michael,

Were you able to come up with any answers on this one for me? If not what is the Jamroom Installation price to get this module working properly...

The thing about facebook for me is that it doesn't allow you to setup testing accounts, and I don't really want to use my real account as a testing account.

Facebook API is flaky.

Facebook has my email address because I can login there. now its api is saying that I need to enter another email address. Not a system I want to use.

Jamroom Facebook module is flaky and it is annoyingly so flaky that it gives headache.
Now Michael says Facebook is flaky and Facebook has been there a giant and moving faster than any other social network ever.

Jamroom needs to either fix the module or take it out of the MarketPlace or come up with a better direction on how to configure that module.

I say it again, Facebook is not flaky, Jamroom Facebook module is flaky.

I am using Nova, and after clicking Login it redirects straight to facebook.com. It doesn't login to the Jamroom site. Signup doesn't work either.

Its hard to get help on this specific topic. I've tried a couple forum threads and Premium support.

Facebook may not be flaky, but their API, which they seem to have to change every other month, is definitely flaky. The Facebook module has been a nightmare because of this and makes it almost impossible to support when you have to rewrite it every other month.

Then take it off the shelve because it is a nightmare as you said OR tell people what to expect before they buy. If you knew about this nightmare issue and fail to do something about it, it becomes dishonesty and some people might even look at it as a fraud because you let them pay for a lemon.

Thanks.
Randolph.

Paid for it and it has never worked. Is there hope at all for this? Sad

Could there be a simple way to integrate this?

You should not have bought it. It just does not do what it is supposed to do and I am very upset with it.
