Jamroom Help:
Admin URL

I have just installed the jamroom-core-5.0.2 package. No errors, no warnings just a success install message. But when I go to the domain name, I'm not seeing anything but the blank index.html page I uploaded. So I find myself asking an absolute noob question (that could be more of an issue with the .htaccess file) - what is the URL to the Admin and what could be the possible issue with the .htaccess file?

Many thanks!

Make sure that the .htaccess file in the installation package has actually been uploaded. There is no index file, as such, and the .htaccess will do the routing to the correct scripts.

Thanks Paul, yes it's there. That's why I suspect something may not being "obeyed" in the .htaccess file

DirectoryIndex index.html index.php sitemap.xml modules/jrCore/router.php

doesn't seem to be doing what is should.

Ahhhh, so I removed the index.html and the quickstart.html files from the root and now the redirect in the .htaccess works as expected. So note to those who install this in a new Dreamhost site - remove the quickstart.html file too.

Many thanks!

BUT I still need the URL to be able to login to the admin panel? Or has an admin account been created during the install and I have to figure out what the user name and password are? I wasn't given the option to set this up during the initial installation.

Yeah, JR5 needs to be in a folder with no other index files.
Click on 'Create Account'. The first account created is the admin account.
