i am curious why when i modify tpl files in the rank folder i dont see the changes. i even added a new class and the class isnt showing up...

Like Jorel has pointed out, all the output from the charting and ranking is "cached" by default for 10 minutes, so it goes lighter on your system. Try setting the "cache seconds" setting in the Jamroom Config to 0 (to disable caching) or to a low number of seconds - that way when you make changes to your template files they become apparent right away.
