What big scale professional web sites use Jamroom?
I have heard that bandspace.com uses jr. What about purevolume? It looks similar to me, but I don't know how to be sure or not. Any other big sites? What about the sites that are said to have, I believe it was said, to have over 5,000 artists? Does anyone know any of those web site? Just looking for some nice websites that I can look at.

altsounds.com uses jamroom.. i think they've got over 5000 members and quite nicely integrated with vbuletin.
purevolume does not run on jamroom, they've got their own system.
rocketradio.com also did an awsome job customizing jamroom and they've got quite a few people too....
i most likely forgot some, perhaps somebody else will post them.
cheers,
julian

http://www.hxcmp3.com - over 40,000 artist accounts now on a 5 server (Jamroom Cluster Server) setup..

http://www.i-bands.net - over 3,000 artist accounts (nice site)

There are quite a lot of Jamroom sites in the 1,000 - 5,000 artist size, and many that have gone over that now.

Hopefully someone running a large site will post and let us know how things are going Wink

Yea, i agree, JR can do some amazing things!
Also, i-bands.net is a nice site.
Just curious, Brian, do you get all the JR website stats?
Or was this just some info that you knew?

no - I don't get any stats - I wish I did though!

I know about hxcmp3 since I did their cluster install about a year ago, and the owner of i-bands visits here. It's not too hard though to get an idea of how large a Jamroom site is - if they have a "newest artist" section, just check out the band_id of the newest artist - that tells you (roughly) how many artist profiles are in their Jamroom.

Hope this helps!

Maybe, if it's not too hard to do, it would be pretty neat if you made a script that updated you (Brian) as to how many users each jr had.

well... I tend to avoid anything that could be construed as "big brother-ish", although maybe some type of opt-in system could be designed in the future.
