I keep getting asked for this too, so I decided to help by making a packaged zip file for the Cobalt Theme. It uses the Flash Players that come with the Jamroom Power Pack and Payment Pack.

What This Does...........
This will allow you to have all the HiFi and Lofi buttons on your artist page popup in the Flash Players that come with the Jamroom Power Pack and Payment Pack. It will also stop your music from playing through Windows Media Player, Winamp and all other music players from your artists song pages. It will also stop any songs, playlists or M3U files from being cached on the users computer while being played through the flash players. It's not 100%, but no systems or modifications are.
You can see it in action here...........
http://www.lafire.net/jamroomtest/members/1/audio.php

Special Note......
Please understand that flash players will only play MP3's and changing your play button links will stop you from allowing other formats of music to be played from your site. And for the songs to play correctly in flash they need to be MP3's that have been converted at 44,100 khz. Thats especially true for LoFi songs.

This is a TOTALLY FREE download from my players site.

On the side panel scroll down untill you see "FREE PLAYER STUFF" and click on the "Popup Player Modification" link. Download the zip file and read the instructions inside. This Modification will work on the Cobalt Theme Only running the Power Pack or better. You should also be runing the latest stable version of Jamroom 3.0.26 or better.

This modification is not supported in Jamroom, and I can only offer limited support in its installation and use.
But I will always help if I can.

If your using the HiFi&LoFi button popup artist page add-on I put together.
You'll need to edit the following 2-templates from your "themes/Cobalt/" directory.
1. song_popup_hifi.tpl
2. song_popup_lofi.tpl

Find this in 2-places in both templates........
&autoload=true

And then add this right after it
&autoplay=true

So it will read like this in 2-places in both templates.
&autoload=true&autoplay=true

And if you not using the Add-on I put together, then just find the player code your using in the popup and add "&autoplay=true"

especially radio stations

Yes you can change every play link in your Jamroom to play only through the flash player. I was going to setup step by step instructions on how to do this for the Cobalt theme but I just haven't had the time yet.

Please keep in mind that once you do this site wide, you will limit your artists to only playing MP3's on your site.

This thread gives a little more info on how to do it (Read the whole thread).........
http://www.jamroom.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=67315

But I don't think it covers converting radio playlinks.

Yeah the radio is the one i didn't figure out yet. I think I got most everything else. I can make a little list to add to this post for others to use. I'll do that in a bit.

Radio I think would be most important using this pop up player.

I'll look into this when I get a chance.
But I won't have time till later this week or this weekend.

Thanks......

Hey how do you do the following:

1. How do you adjust the width and the height of the popup?

2. How do you disable the maximize option within the popup?

3. My artist player didn't show up correctly, I mean it only show half way. I guess this is due to the layout of the template. Where do I go and dig for this problem?

Thanks for your help.

1. The size of the popup is controlled by the link you click on the page to open the popup. You would need to find whatever template that is.

2. I have no idea what your talking about.... "disable the maximize option" ???

3. I guess you would first need to tell us what Skin/Theme your using.....

And if this is a player you got from me, you can email me and I'll be happy to help you get this sorted out. daddysylem@dsplayerskins.com

I think he's talking about maximizing the popup window with the flash player. There's some javascript you can use I think (something like resizable=no or something) to prevent that from happening.

Yeah that's what I meant to say. Disableing the maximizing popup window.

And how do you resize the popup window to be EXACT the size of the flash player? I don't want no border or anything. Thank you for your help.
