i honestly think the best solution is for jamroom to develop a better news and general content system.
So that you don't rely on artists to add content.

I use both joomla and jamroom for different things..

isn't this the point of developing MEMBERS Idea

Currently, neither Art nor science encourage the idea of developing members, this idea is entirely in the realm of the spam that my mailfoundrey saves me from on a daily basis.

And I implore you not to worry too much american, the development of your members isn't everything, it's what you do with them that counts.

Maybe we can get back on topic here Wink Thanks!

What is lacking in Jamroom to prevent the admin from posting stuff?

Thanks!

The ability to edit blogs of all users via the front end.

When you want to edit a block, get the band_id that posted, and:

click on "artist menu"
click on "select artist"
enter "band_id:BAND_ID" (where BAND_ID is the actual band_id) in the search box, click submit
select the band that appears and click on change artist
click on "modify entry" under blogs and make the change and save.

Hope this helps!

- Brian

Yeah i know it can be done in the back end. But a nifty little icon only the admin can see on front end to edit it directly.

IT s time consuming to go to the back end on larger sites all the time..But its just a suggestion

It is more time consuming to be on the front end! You need to set up your feed reader so you see the latest posts in one tab of your browser. In another tab you have your search to take you directly to the post you want to change. Why would you be browsing the front end if you are not a punter?

Something I always feel the need for is admins to submit a different image with each blog. This way all your news is not just showing the same admin image. This would be cool.

i like to make sure the layout of the blogs don't mess up the site.
most people don't know how to resize images and use stupid fonts

I got through my site daily, welcome new members and chat to many people s a user..i also like my site to look neat and clean. Dont like these blogs where my entire layout gets thrown out.
