OK, anyone interested in helping me test this, go to http://kyle.jamroom.net and get the flash player code. Make sure and stream/download the songs on the site as well so that we can see if changes in the charts on kyle.jamroom.net are reflected in the playlists on remote sites. Thanks!

Tested on myspace.. works fine, loaded all 6 songs. Slight skip before the songs.. looks like a small loading lag (probably expected).

Think this may be related to some of the problems I'm having w/ the buy - visit button or unrelated?

What problems are you having with the "Buy" or "Visit" buttons on Myspace?

Hey Greg,I've noticed that every once in a while on my site, when I hit the buy now button on the player it opens a blank page of"code" the way netscape used to do with asf video files. Then If I click it again the problem goes away.
Also on the playlist, how can you tell which songs will load in the remote players with the code that Kyle wrote?

I just started testing it but it doesn't seem to update the player when the chart order changes.

Your chart........

Your player on Myspace.......

daddysylem,

I know you've tested it and it works for you... but I've tested on 3 different computers from 3 different locations and the buy button and the visit button just don't seem to be working from myspace. The hand pointer forms over the button as it should, but I'll be darned if I can get a click through. I thought it was me so I asked a friend in Lansing to test it wasn't working for him either.. I feel like a dolt, but I'm not sure if it's myspace not allowing the click through or something I did wrong!

btw here is the site again:

BR

Ill give you the pw to test it if you'd like..

That's what I thought was happening Sad If the player is calling the playlist from the same source each time, why isn't it updating? It updates fine whent he player is on my own site. I have deeplinking turned off so it is ok for everything....

What problems are you having with the "Buy" or "Visit" buttons on Myspace?

In both of the posted players on MySpace, the Buy and Visit buttons don't open the links when using IE 6. You do get the hand, but you don't get the page.

Both work fine in FireFox and Netscape. Could be an IE specific problem?

Did you take the player down?
I don't see it on your myspace page............

And does the artist link back also not work on smith.kyle's player on my posted myspace page for you?
http://www.myspace.com/soundmetro

I'm using IE7 and I haven't had a problem with this yet.........
