When I use the NoIEActivate.js IE seems to hang up and show remaining items downloading. this does kill the activeX problem but it appears something isn't completing.

I didn't write that code but I use on my site here and I don't see an issue.

Can give me a link to where you see the problem?

Hi there...

1. Is this happening specifically on your theme pages?

2. Are you using Flashback by chance?

I ask because I am having what appears to be the same issue, but it's only in my FB theme and only when I add the noactivate code to the theme header template.

Everything else seems to be working fine. Confused

My first thought was that in the theme header template the player is in an if/else statement with one player in the if and another in the else.

So, I tried the noactivate script at the end of the code line and also tried placing it in the if and the else separately.

Neither way seemed to make a difference as it does exactly what you are saying Nate... it continually appears to be loading. For me it's shows it's loading the the blog.php.

Hmmm... that's interesting. That's exactly the same behavior I am experiencing.

Yes I tried your suggestion, but I couldn't get it to work for me for some reason. Confused

I have used the noactivate.js for quite some time without any incident at all until now.

Strange. Shocked

DS just posted in another thread about MS doing away with the click to activate thing next year.

http://www.jamroom.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18379

Doesn't help right now obviously, but interesting news nonetheless.

-Thanks!!

Ok... well. Since last posting i've put in embedded media player code for those who upload wmv files. This enables the wmplayer to show per video in the video list.
Anywho, while the flashplayer would do fine, the wmplayers wouldn't work with the previous js fix i was using for flash activate gheyness... They just completely shut down and you couldn't click on the controls.
After many HOURS of mucking around with js code. I found one that let my flashplayer activate, but not the wmplayer. (so you still have to 'click to activate' the mediaplayers)
If this is help to anyone, use this for your 'click to activate' js fix...

theObjects = document.getElementsByTagName("object");for (var i = 0; i < theObjects.length; i++) { theObjects[i].outerHTML = theObjects[i].outerHTML;}

hope this works for someone else too... !
