Hi,
I installed the application, but it does not show up on my Facebook fan page, after I allow the application in Facebook and I got the successful message that you are supporting xxx, do I have to do anything else?

Any idea?

I don't think this is working right now.......
If you read about 3 posts back in this thread, you will see that others have reported this is not working on Facebook and it may be a problem with Facebook itself.

Hi everyone..

Sorry i've not been keeping up with this thread for some reason i wasn't getting topic replies.

Facebook have announced the end of profile boxes Sad

The app can still be set to run as a tab across the top of facebook, i'll have to go over the code and try and find a solution to this.

It's not going to be as good as it was as a profile box as it won't be so in the users face, but i guess that is what you get when working on a closed platform such as facebook.

Many developers on the forums are saying that the boxes should be live till August, but new applications won't be able to add at all.

I've emailed a patch out to everyone.

If you haven't received it please PM me your email address and i'll add you to the list for future updates.

Shame they have done this but it is out of our control.

It does mean that we can do a lot more in the tab though Smile

Yeah, I just saw this: "Soon Facebook will no longer support profile boxes from applications. Bookmark x Profile App to find it easily. Learn more about this change in the Help Center."

Bummer...

I think instead of just pulling songs. It should pull concert dates, tracks, blogs etc.

Make it a "My Band" (Reverbnation) type app.

If a band adds new content, there should be a wall post that goes out through the user host profile.

I'm pretty sure unless you can gear this towards site owners and facebook pages only it's a bust.

They just announced tabs on profiles are going bye bye.

Mad

No more tabs or side boxes, pretty much tells us facebook does not wish for you to promote with your profile anymore.

well actually all that FB has changed is that you cannot have a tab anymore but you can have an individually ordered list on your FB site. And whithin this we could integrate a profile page into FB if the user wants to.

This could be a cool app. What do you guys think ?

Be careful with spending to much time or effort on Facebook integration...I've spent a lot of time perfecting stream.Publish attachments, boxes, with REALLY poor documentation, only to have them turn it all off.

Just my 2 cents. It's good to have social integration with FB, MySpace, etc, but concentrate on really good service, themes, and function on your Jamroom installation...

Cheers,
~E
