I have my image upload working great with jmInput and jrMediaGetFile, but I have a couple of questions...

jrMediaGetFile has $file_name, which becomes part of the file's name, but it has to be the name of the jmInput file field - I'm sure there is a point to this, but I don't see it immediately Confused I know I am missing something here but what is it?

Now that my image is in the band's media directory, is there any way I can call it through image.php?

I am having little success with replacing the image with a fresh upload, so I guess there are other things which need to be done to delete the existing image?

Thanks for any pointers on these Very Happy

Some custom modules can also define an image "mode", in which case the "mode" will be the name of the module.

I see there is a way of using image.php from this new page n the docs:
http://www.jamroom.net/Jamroom4_Image_Script

Is there anything existing in Jamroom that would show how to define an image mode or is this new territory?

Yes - you can use the image.php script to resize your module images, I just have not added the page to the Module Dev guide yet - it requires to you to create a custom function (within a script called "image.php") that returns the image data Jamroom needs. I'll try to get that online within the next day or so.

Thanks!

I've added a new page into the Module Developer section that covers this:

http://www.jamroom.net/Jamroom_Modules_Module_Images

- make sure and update to the 4.0.2 testing release, as I had to make a small modification to the image.php script. Note that so far I would consider it "beta" as I don't have a module to test with, so please let me know if it works/doesn't work, and what you see.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Brian, on initial reading I don't get this at all Confused I'm not seeing how it is supposed to work overall. Maybe I am missing something about jrInput and jrGetMediaFile...

I will spend some time with it over the weekend and try to come up with some specific questions to help get my head around this.

Didn't get to spend any time on this yet - Saturday morning's storm knocked out electric and phone and we only just got back online. 1 million homes were without power on Saturday night! If only I had left the page of the Developer's Guide open when I put my laptop to sleep Sad

I have never been out in a storm like that before Shocked the tree damage is incredible.

You give up on this Steve?

I'd be interested in knowing how you got the image upload working. Having a bit of trouble understanding this bit.

Thanks Smile
