when a user signs up as an artist or a fan, after they have signed up they are directed to a 'thankyou' page

the message on the page is controlled by the english.lang.php file:

Code
$language['signup'][21] = 'Your account has been successfully activated!';

/language/english.lang.php

if i wanted to install some tracking code into this page, im thinking the only way to do it is to tack the code on to the end of the language string in the language file.

is there a better way to do it?

(some of the themes have their own 'thankyou' page template (store_thank.tpl) for sale items, but I'm looking for the equivalent for skins.)

Maybe the new mode hooks? I'm not sure if they're available for signup.php though...
