Hello, I am using the Colbalt3 Flash Video Player. Currently, the thumbnail image that I have uploaded for the video shows briefly before the video starts to play. Can I stop this from happening?

The Colbalt3 flash video player didn't have a field to display the video image.

Can you give me a link so I can see what your talking about?

You can see in the Hanging Around video that the player quickly pulls in the thumbnail image before the video starts. The first frame of the video has the band name, song title, show name. The thumbnail image just has the band name "browning".

Now I understand.........
The player your talking about is the Jeroen Player and not the DS Video player which I had made for the Cobalt3 Skin/Theme. I was unaware Brian had changed the players in the Cobalt3 Theme.

I'm really not sure how to stop the video image from showing in the Jeroen Player, but you might be able to find an answer here http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/forum

I think it automatically loads the first video's image and display it until the video is played, which is what most people want. But if you have it set to auto-play, I think its suppose to automatically bypass the video image and just play the movie. This might be a bug in the player itself as I remember reading they had a problem with this in a previous version, but I really don't know for sure.

I would try contacting Jeroen support in the link above....
