Bloodcrave:
Maybe you can built in a preview thumbnail which only shows up if a certain extension is uploaded.
e.g: when a .png, .jpg is uploaded a thumbnail shows up. A player shows up for a .mp3, .wav, .flv file and a dowload link for other files?

Yeah - Thats what I said I could do above, but I'm not sure whether its worth it as it has limited use. Files that get uploaded are unlikely to be media files. I'll maybe add in the image thumbnail though.
Cheers
Pa

Its probably worth noting that any files uploaded go into the artist/member media folder, so if they start uploading lots of files, it could impinged on their allocated quota disk space and they ultimately might not be able to upload regular media files.

Works great so far!
Except for the thumbnail when uploading a .png It doesn't shows me a thumbnail. And the vistor support ticket. I get 2 captcha validations. One is from google and below there's another field with "Enter The Above Validation Code".

Although got some points for improvement of this great module.
As someone else posted before, the upload progress meter included will make this even more user-friendly.

And maybe for a future release customizable email notifications for e.g: when a "high" or "Urgent" ticket is created the admin will receive an email. For other lower priorities no notification e-mail will be send.

-Brian

Well you can also upload it to a uploads folder within the module directory, and set a x-amount of days that should be passed after closing the ticket before the uploaded file is deleted from the server. I know this can be a problem when reopening tickets. But a hard cap on it so that closed tickets can not be reopened after a x-amount of days might solve this?

Optionally: let users select an already uploaded file from their media/uploads directory. This will be handy if a user has a corrupted song uploaded and want to report it directly, without re-uploading the file. Saves also some disk space.

I strongly agree with Joshua7!

Paul his modules are so underpriced for the things you get, and if you have a question or need some support, he will be there for you!

His kindness and the JR forums feedback with lot's of great ideas makes him a happy and loved person here on the JR forum.

HEY EVERYONE!!

I need to post this "shout out" to Paul (pasher @ motagator) for this ULTRA useful module.

If you are on the fence about purchasing this module I hope this pushes you over to buy it.

From a pure coding stand point this is WAY under priced. If you had anyone else custom code this for you it would cost hundreds of dollars. If you tried to do it yourself, it would take weeks.

If you are serious about your Jamroom and want to provide top notch customer support this module is a must have! I do not know how we would retain our members without it.

Thanks again Paul - all of your modules are top notch.

The png thumbnails you uploaded to the demo site are showing OK, so not sure about that. One thought, are your files .PNG? I don't think it checks for capital extensions.

And thanks for your suggestions. I'll look into the progress meter implementation at least.
Cheers
Pa

I edited my post above with "And the vistor support ticket. I get 2 captcha validations. One is from google and below there's another field with "Enter The Above Validation Code"

And here's a screenshot from my uploaded file:

This module is so valuable for JR owners in my opinion it wouldn't harm anyone if you put up the price. Customer support is a thing that needs to be done friendly, correctly and professionally paSupportTickets can do this all!

Got it.
It was those dots in the file name were screwing my evaluation of the extension.
Delete those posts and files for now and I'll get a new version of the module up asap.
Cheers

Re-download the module now. That file extension issue should be fixed.
I've also tried to add the progress bar but ran into a problem that Brian or Kyle need to resolve for me, so will add that in when/if that is fixed.
Cheers

cool, it's working now.
If you have some time, can you take a look at the visitor support tickets with the double "captcha verification' field?

thnx!

This is the page that allows non logged in users to create a support ticket?
The module code for that uses the Jamroom captcha form -

http://paulasher.com/paSupportTickets.php?mode=open_from_tpl

Where has your captcha form come from? Is it something custom?

Cheers
Pa

No it's showing up if you use the JR advanced config key "Jr_recaptcha_private_key" and "Jr_recaptcha_public_key"

But I'm not sure if i's still supported since Brian took it out of the documentation http://www.jamroom.net/Jamroom4_Advanced_Settings
