There are examples all the way through the demo page.
Or are you looking for something more specific?
Thanks
Pa

Everything is working 90% good ... I am tryin to display top sellers... But as more sells have been happening all the members with 1 vault sale are no longer being displayed? search_min= I tried changing this to "00.1" or "0.1" but when i do this it displays all users witch some have have No sales and i would like them excluded ... but when i change the search_min to "1" the mininal number of vault sales displayed is 2, In the config panel i have everything set to 0 besides vault sales which is set to 100, any help on this matter greatly appreciated!

{jr_ranking mode="artist" order="11" row_template="recentsellers.tpl" require_image="1" search_area="band_acclaim" search_string="_" search_min="1" show="5"}

Can you show me the recentsellers.tpl template and modify it to temporarily show band_acclaim?

Better still, PM me your JR and FTP logins - it'll be a lot quicker and easier for me to sort this out for you that way.
Thanks
Pa

The problem here is that the Jamroom ranking system will only accept integar values of search_min, so search_min="0.1" translates to search_min="0".
I'll raise this with Brian to see if its a bug or if there's a good reason for it.
I'll also try to think of a workaround for you.
Cheers
Pa

I've set your artist paAcclaim scaling factor to 2 instead of 1.
The module calculates the artist acclaim value to be just below 1 per vault sale, so doubling it like this ensures that your ranking call above only returns artists that have made at least one sale.
Have raised this issue with Brian and will let you know the response.
Cheers
Pa

On reflection, setting the scaling factor to 2 might have been excessive. Calculated values were only just below their expected integer values (something like 0.9) so try setting the scaling to 1.2, say. You can then run the test in the module settings to see if that clips. You then need to make sure that you are still getting the correct results on your homepages and the the ranking call is still working.

Ive installed and purchased this module. In the settings, the weighting test is not working.

What exactly is happening?
I'm away at the moment so can look into this the week after next when I'm back.
Its a long time since I've tried this module so will need to set up a test site to try it out.
Is it working ok for other users?
Thanks
Pa

REally need some more support for this product. The documentation is vague, the demo site does not show anything really, and a few links in the modules settings don't work, plus there are no templates at all.

Also, I was under the impression this module would calculate an Acclaim number based on weights, etc....
From my gathering, its just a chart ranking call, and the output is just a list of rankings rather than the output being a whole number?

For example,

Artist A = Acclaim = 600
Artist B = Acclaim =35

Please help.

Ok, so far I did a debug and found the band_acclaim variable with a number in it and outputted that number into one of my pages, however this number said 9.187 Not sure what kinda scale this is in reference to or what a good number would look like.

Are you seeing the module configuration page ok?
You say the test isn't working - what happens when you click on it?
The 'acclaim' value is calculated based on the weightings set on the config. page, and it will be a decimal number. You can then do ranking calls ordered by that number, so by altering the weightings you can bias the acclaim value to whatever is important on your site.
