Just released, The 'Jamroom Marketing Pack'

It contains 3 modules. 2 of them have been available for a while and the 3rd is new.

Adtrackz - For tracking ROI of ads that you purchase and finding out a customers cost to acquire.
Affiliate - Allows a Jamroom owner to run an affiliate program from their jamroom site.
Graphs - Creates graphs of data in the database.

When Adtrackz is installed along side the Affiliate module the tracking code for both scripts is automatically added for tracking subscriptions purchased through the Jamroom paid subscription system.

POINT TO NOTE: the Adtrackz system and the Affiliate system are not simple systems. They will take a lot of effort on your part to run. They are tools, not magic solutions.

You will have the ability to collect a lot of data which will have some important information contained within it. But the data will only be as good as the structure with which you set it up.

An affiliate program allows you to expand your marketing force to other peoples websites, but if your not taking steps to improve your own website to convert the visitor to a customer then you should NOT start an affiliate program.

Adding an affiliate program will not make your site convert any better than it already does right now. If your site does not convert then fix that first before asking people to promote it.

eg: if your site is costing you money to run right now and it suddenly got 10 times bigger it will cost you 10 times as much to run.
eg: if 100 people visit your site and none of them sign up, paying people to send visitors to your site will have no effect on signups.

The Point: Make sure your site is ready before starting an affiliate program. Adtrackz can help get your site ready.

Great product. Only issue I've seen so far is that when you set like "action 1" to .25¢ it shows to the affiliate as 0.00 for some reason.

ah, sorry about that. The table for the settings in the database was set to only allow whole numbers. my mistake.

I have up uploaded a new version of the pack with the issue resolved. If you could please download the pack again.

The only file that has changed is the /modules/apAffiliate/schema.php so just need to upload this one and then run the integrity check and things should be good to go.

If you are on a slower internet connection and this is a hassle, send me the login details to your phpmyadmin and I can do the changes manually for you if you would like.

Removed old file, uploaded the new file and ran integrity, however it's still only accepting even numbers. The tables did update.

hmmm, i've tried to find out why, but im a bit lost. doing a fresh install of the first version then uploading the schema.php fixed it on my testing server.

Could i ask you to help me please.

* Would you open your phpmyadmin interface on your server. (There should be a button in your server control panel marked 'phpmyadmin' )
* Once phpmyadmin is open:

click the little box to the left of 'jamroom_apAffiliate_settings'
* That should make the right half of the screen appear in the screenshot as above.
* Could you tell me what your database reads in the location marked on the screenshot above please.

In the first version this was 'bigint(20)' but that needed to be changed to allow decimal places. So the type was changed to 'decimal(10,2)' to let decimals be used.

Yes. It is in the database. For some reason the value that is being submitted in the admin control panel is not saving the value when it's still not a whole number.

For instance if 0.50 in typed in action 1 for New Signup, the affiliate sees on their end the value as 0.00. However if I place 1.00 it shows exactly as 1.00 to them. If I type 1.25 it shows 1.00, but if I type 2.00 it shows 2.00 and 10.00 shows 10.00.

found the issue. It was over aggressive security checking that was not allowing the decimal value through.

I have updated the marketplace with the new version and tested on a testing server here. The issue appears to be fixed. I am able to payout $0.25 to an affiliate for a new signup.

Please download the pack and upload the affiliate directory to see if the issue is fixed for you.

I seem to have all 3 mods installed and working correctly.
But, I could use some more detailed help beyond what I found in the docs, in setting it up so that the affiliate "successes" of subscription purchases and vault purchases are recorded. Where do I set the product thank_you pages that are associated with the sales? I am using PayPal. I already have these added in the settings: Sale One - "Shopping cart order"
Sale Two - "Subscription purchase", with the payouts, etc. Now What?

If you followed all the steps in the documentation then subscription purchases and vault purchases should be working.

Did you test to see if they are working or not? is either working?
