There is a new module I created in the market place. It allows your users to change the color of the media player from there control panel for the Nova theme/skin. Currently only the 515X250 player is customizable but I will work with the other players as well.

The download is free. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
If you have a problem with it post here in this thread.
Enjoy this with good health.
Happy Jamrooming!!!

Ahhh.. it's a great and cool thing!

I may have done something wrong with my install though, when I applied it to my own profile... it worked great!

Then a couple days later, I went in as admin and regenerated all of our artist profiles... and... it applied the color from my profile player to everyone elses player;)

Didn't go back to find out why yet though. (I do know I like it!)

Are you sharing the skin? If you shared the skin and loaded that skin to other users that will happen. I will look into this though.

Oh.. you could be on to something there. My artist skin was shared... and some do use it.... maybe the only ones I looked at were using my shared skin. (or their own modified version of the original shared skin)

I did notice one user theme that probably was a descendent of my shared skin, but with a different background image. When I changed the color on mine (original shared skin) it changed theirs as well.

Unfortunately i don't think there is a way around that. I guess i can add to the instructions that if you are using a shared skin you should save it as your own to preserve your color.

I've updated the mod.
It now includes the 360X280 Nova Player and the tabs and song hightlight bar change color with the player as well. More to follow.

Happy Jamrooming!

Very nice! Good call on adding the color changes to the text background.

One thing to maybe check.... the embed code on the players doesn't work anymore ;(

But I'm not sure if it's a your modded player thing, or the upgrade I just did to JR 4.1.8

I uploaded an updated package.
This fixes the problem with the embed not working and rating, plays, and downloads displaying "undefined".

I also fixed the includes folder to be called include.
If you have installed a previous version this download is a must.
Also check your root directory if you have a folder called includes (this is with an s) remove it.
DO NOT REMOVE THE "INCLUDE" FOLDER. if you do your site will not work. If you not sure pm your ftp info and i'd be happy to check it for you.

Thanks

Hey Todd!

Just grabbed the latest download tonight 5/5/2010, upped it and all that, reset caches, rebuilt profiles and still getting no "embed" and the "undefined errors" I still have too.

The files in the zip package were dated 5/2 so they should be the new ones. Not sure yet why it isnt doing what it should.

Yup.... did that, redownloaded the package and upped it again, dumped browser cache, JR cache.. and rebuilt ptofile again... But still a no-go.

It's probably just me! To much typing today and brain fried to boot.

I'll have another wack at it thursday Wink

Yup Todd, sure works on your demo site!

I've taken three complete runs at it so far and no matter what, no embed and all the "undefined" notices are still here.

Rebuilds, cache dumps, browser caches cleared and even looked with browser I normally don't use.

So... I don't know unless the uploaded package missed getting the newest versions in it.

I didnt see any changes inside the instructions file so I didn't further modify the theme files. Should I have?

Basically, I dunno Wink

But I took a might run at it!

Try adding this to the tm_flash_player tag

Code
playlist_url=$play_url
