We do not currently have the Twitter module in any Jamroom packages - however, it is still being sold at a discounted price until its final release.

I was wondering why facebook wasn't working. Now I know.

When is the final release expect date?

I don't have a timeline quite set, but most likely early summer.

Cool.

Will it be updated to at least work with Facebook? Or did I miss something and they work nicely together now??

Or do I need to pick one before I launch...

twitter... facebook, twitter.... facebook?

They should both work both independently and concurrently with each other without issue. There is currently a bug in the twitter module that will affect other modules running that use the hooks.php script.

Hi,

Anyone interested in the link with your streams please check my guide
http://www.jamroom.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=219428
I don't take responsibility for any damage done, test it first!
I would like Kyle to comment on that.

Also, just a thought of the moment:
module config can have a select field asking what theme/skin is artist profile based (two obvious choices: nova, cobalt3). the module can check db field and in a simple if statement choose the proper link format.
I suggested adding a field as custom skins/themes will have different names in the db.

Please pm me to let me know if you are going to work on this and what would be the schedule as I have a schedule of my own and don't know if I need to implement my own changes or not.
Unlike you I'm not a jamroom pro (yet), but if you have no time I could commit cleaned code with my implementation and it's up to you if you decide to use it.

I already wrote in a special topic, but I would like to point out that I did buy the 2 addons, together with the powerpack and the paypack, but that after installing (FTP to root of JamRoom) I cannot find anything special aobut Twitter and YouTube. I dont see any knob or whatever sign to adjust or to activate or to adjust text, etc. etc.

For sure I do something wrong, but please tell me what and how to solve, how do I regonize that I have it installed properly?

greetz,

Very Happy

You can check out the module settings in System Config -> System Modules -> "settings" button to the right of each module.

Hope this helps!

In my ../modules/jrTwitter/language/english.lang.php on or about line 32 I have

Code
// Band actions
$language['jrTwitter']['band_mod'] = 'We just updated our page on ' . $jamroom['jm_htm'];

The tweet is initiated by the band but the link takes you only to the main page.

What do I append to this line to reference the initiating band in the link? I've tried a few different things but nothing seems to work.

The ability to do that is coming in the next version.

Ok... I think I've been pretty patient with this module. Can someone please check the previous message & tell me when I can expect the "next" version?

Every day that goes by, is a day that I can't use the twitter module for the purpose it was intended. That is, to promote my site and the bands & events within.

This is literally frustrating the hell out of me!

I suppose someone can't. I guess I'll just move on.
