It'll be OK not to select a genre.

Hi,

My control panel form fields look different from your demo site. When I go to upload a video, I still have form fields to create a youtube video. Your demo site does not contain the youtube id form field under the create video.

Check that the custom form field 'video_youtube_id' (and' video_youtube_category') is set to 'admin only'. The module sets those fields as such by default, but if you change them, the fields will show in the upload section.

Forgot to mention about the V1.0.6 release - it also includes a German language file. Thanks to Matthias for the translation and for letting me distribute it with the module.
Cheers

This might be a stretch -
What about a VIMEO Api Import included with this module? Allowing the user to select YT or Vimeo videos to import?

2 birds with 1 stone approach to the ultimate video import module... what do you think?

I really like the idea of a Vimeo import too..that is the only other video site that my users like to use.

I've added in some more sample templates for the Cobalt3, Sage, Nova, Flashback and JamTube skins and themes that now show YT videos in user favorite listings correctly.
Re-download the lastest V1.0.6 files to get them.
Note that there is now an additional control panel template to show user video favorites in the CP.

Thanks to Matthias for pointing out this module oversight Very Happy
Cheers

Quote:
19/01/11 V1.0.7 If file_get_contents() function fails (as it does on some servers), this module will attempt to search YouTube videos using a cURL function.

This is the only change in this revision, so if the 'Search YouTube' feature is working OK on you're installation, there's no real need to uprev.

Cheers
Pa

Now includes sample templates for the ProJam2 and MediaPro skins and themes.
Thanks to Huw for allowing me to include these templates with this module.
Download V1.0.7 from the Jamroom Marketplace.

Three questions (sorry I don't have time to read all the posts):

1. What is the difference between this and the free paYoutubePlus module that was available previously?

2. Can you still use this module if you completely disable video uploads in jamroom? I'd prefer to have all the videos in my site integrated with youtube.

3. I noticed on the demo that you search for the video through the control panel, is there no way to just input the URL or embed code?

Hi gcuezy

1. Instead of a custom database table to store the YT data, this module uses the existing JR video table (with additional custom fields). This means that with simple modifications to the video templates, YT videos can be displayed alongside user uploaded videos (hence 'Seamless' Wink ). It also includes utilities for importing previous YT videos from either the paYouTubePlus or the jrYouTube modules, as well as the YT search function.

2. The JR videos need to be enabled per quota, but then there is an additional option for 'YouTube Only'. Setting this will give the functionality you require.

3. Yes - You can just enter the YT ID, or the full YT URL that contains the ID (the module will extract the ID from the URL).
