I want to change the domain name of my site without having to move all of the files and without just pointing toward the new domain..I read how to Change the directory and seems pretty easy..Will I need to copy files as well and how does that work if I change the domain name, will songs be able to be accessed? Thanks dhttp://www.jamroom.net/FAQ_Change_Directory_or_Domain

No need to copy, you can just move the files like it says in the FAQ.

Yes, using the new domain name, not by using the old domain name.

But they are on the new domain once you've followed the FAQ.

I apologize for being so cautious but this is a huge community and working site I am moving so I have to be careful

There are two procedures in the how to:

1 was to change the domain name

2 was to move the whole website

I just need to change the domain name

Which one are you talking about ?

If you just need to change the domain name just do the first one, you don't need to change the directory as well - they are two separate things that you can do with settings.cfg.php.

You are right, changing domain and server stuff is something to be very careful with. If that's not something you feel comfortable doing yourself you could get in touch with support@jamroom.net (might be covered by the http://www.jamroom.net/Jamroom4_Guaranteed_Install, but you'd have to ask, I'm not sure).
