Hej,
Is it possible to connect 2 or 3 jamroom sites toghther under the same domain via sub domians ?
exemple :
nova.mydomian.com site connect with jamtube.mydomain.com using the same users which means if a user upload a song or video in the Nova site it will be created in the other sites as well ?

I've never actually attempted it, but I would expect that it would be possible.

This is how I would start at it:
* Use the same database credentials with all of the sites.
* Create one site first and get it all setup.
* Use a symlinks for the /media and /members directories to point to the original sites /media and /members directories

I would expect to run into problems on setting the specific skins for each domain as the active skin is in the database.

So perhaps create a small module that used HOOKS to pick up on the domain name each request was coming in from and set the active skin from there.

should be doable with a little effort.

Nooooo. Definitely not. You want to mix chalk and cheese to make chocolate eclairs? You might want to revisit that concept after a year or two. Good idea though.

You can use one database for jamroom, joomla and drupal, but they are really separate and totally different. With a lot of work you could bridge them, but they are still separate, just bridged. Any efforts towards this using jamroom 4 are already out of date, and the bridges won't work with the latest joomla/drupal. So look into jr5 beta, that's where the working bridges will be when they arrive.

Titans and Olympians Smile

My dilema is if I have to build costumes modules for my new purchased JR4 and then launch the site or I have to wait for JR5 to be finalised and start all over with new costumes modules any thoughts or advise on this ?
