JR4.3

PHP Deprecated: Comments starting with '#' are deprecated in /home/caxxxxxx/public_html/skins/Nova/cp/form.cfg on line 7 in /home/caxxxxxxx/public_html/include/jamroom-html.inc.php on line 1772..

I have an artist whose utube videos do not show up in the main player..

They were not uploaded via the utube video function but via add video function..

However they do show and play in the artists video page..

Would the above error have anything to do with it..

The error above is only a notice letting you know that the # sign in coding has been depreciated when making comments inside PHP coding. Its a common error notice and I believe its being corrected, but it doesn't affect Jamroom or the way Jamroom operates.

Do you have a link to where the Video is working........
And a link to the page it isn't working???

Thanks,
Greg -

They look to be all .mov Movies........
Check what movie file format was uploaded. Flash can only play .flv Video files.

Let me know......

Yes, they are mov files, and they are allowed. Can anything be done as it gives the profile a empty space look.

.mov's are not going to play, but are allowed to be uploaded, so taking that into account we need to figure out what you want to have happen instead.

Since playing isn't going to play, what would you like to happen?

You could:
* use an {if $something = '.mov'} to see if its an .mov file then ....... not show it perhaps?
* or if its a .mov, load an image instead of the (not working) player perhaps.
* other idea.

Something to fill that huge empty space, definitely .

I guess the converter could not be enhanced to convert all to flash files???

Yeah, that would work. If you are running the conversion server and the user uploading has been allowed to use the conversion server in their quota, then the .mov should be being converted to a .flv which would then play.
