This includes the Jamroom 5 Super Pack. Today is the last day to purchase the Jamroom 5 Super Pack - if you've been waiting to pick it up, now is the time to do so. Tomorrow we will no longer be selling the Super Pack, and instead have small bundles and individual modules for sale:
It was 10 years ago today that Jamroom was born, and I want to say thank you to everyone for all your support over the years. There have certainly been some "ups and downs" (and I think there have been more ups than downs), but today is a very exciting day. A year ago our new Jamroom Network team set about to build something new and exciting from the ground up - something that would ultimately be a lot more expandable and supportable than Jamroom 4. We wanted a "core" that was not only easy to work with, but also fun to work with - something to make the "boring" parts of development easy to breeze through, and yet also provide a deep layer of functionality that would allow you to focus on what you wanted to do - not how you needed to do it.
I think we have accomplished that resoundingly with Jamroom 5 - it's the best development platform we've ever made and we're really proud to finally be unleashing it to the world.
Like all good political races, there's no time to rest - we must gear up for our next campaign and the focus now is squarely on the future - defining the direction we're going to take Jamroom and deciding how to get there. There's already quite a number of ideas and tickets waiting for us - with the big ones being:
New install and update system - we want to make keeping your system up to date, and installing Jamroom module and skins to be as easy as possible. We'll be making it so you can literally 1 click install or update anything directly into you Jamroom - no FTP'ing into your site, worrying about where you put files, etc. It will all be handled for you.
Jamroom Network Services - this is something we've talked about in the past but just did not have the time to build or complete before the release. We are going to be offering a set of premium services such as media transcoding, spam detection and more. It will be a subscription based service for those that want extra features and power for their site.
Jamroom 5's modular design makes it easier than ever to add features, so we'll be taking advantage of that to bring you a wide variety of modules to help you design and run your system better.
With today's release, we are also offering the Jamroom 4 -> 5 Upgrade Service. This is a service that is being led by Paul to convert your existing Jamroom 4 site to Jamroom 5. Note that you cannot simple "update" Jamroom 4 in place - if you overwrite your Jamroom 4 site with Jamroom 5 files expecting to upgrade, you'll end up with a non working site. Upgrading to Jamroom 5 is a more involved process, as it is a completely new system from the ground up.
We've made the Jamroom 4 Import module free to download for those users that are more technically inclined and want to give it a shot on their own:
For those of you that would like someone else to do it for you, we're offering the Jamroom 4 Upgrade service and varying price levels (depending on how large your site is):
We'll be scheduling upgrades on a first come, first served basis, with site upgrades scheduled to begin tomorrow.
On behalf of the Jamroom Network team, I want to say thanks to everyone for all your valuable feedback and patience during the Jamroom 5 beta - we hope you enjoy Jamroom 5!
These are awesome, premium skins that have been in development for the last few months. Douglas has worked hard on them, and they have turned out fantastic.

I downloaded the JR 5 core and superpack but can't find the installation instructions for those of us who are upgrading from JR4 to JR5, am I missing something?
