the size of my jamroom_notes table is 1.4GB of disk space, which does seem like quite a bit to me. I'm not sure if i can safely purge that table though ?

That does seam large.

Take a look in it and see what is there. mine has 572 and it is 230KB.

The purpose of that table is the PM's that users have sent to each other.

The only thing I could think of making it that large is if maybe the bulk mail system is used a lot with send as private note.
