Hello Michael,
Thanks for the answer...
I see your 'shema development' (Module, Skin, Data) but sometimes it's really not clear.
As i said I understand the work you made, bur i think a lot of people expect the documentation...

I don't remember in what post you explain it , but the function
jrCore_page_display();
for 'just' render a form is very hard to understand and to override it.
This is not a critical, it's a fact.
Go on your good work with JR5.
Ph.

I've done a bunch of docs, if you have suggestions on which ones you would like to read, add them here:

I have this working (it displays youtubes if there are any, if not it displays soundcloud if there are any, then displays the timeline if neither of those exist), but I lose a link to the timeline in the process. How would I add a "timeline" menu button?

ba9801:

If we were provided ( ANYWHERE ) some real world/life examples it would make a lot of users understand how it is built but I am still yet to find any example with JR5 that shows anything.

So please provide us with the simplest edits so we can get our head around doing more edits as most people already know html, PHP but we need to know how your coding works, The calls and the execution.

I agree we need documentation, But there absolutely right. You deffinatly need to pick up on smarty to understand the system better and then all of your "BASIC" examples are done in various skins provided. Once you have an understanding of smarty coding it becomes a lot easier to read understand Jamroom and use most of the skins as examples to solve your needs. But yea theres areas un clear still and for that im waiting to read the docs too.

@b360 Got a bunch of docs done, just getting the site in place to hold them. Other cool stuff coming to along with the docs. Sorry for the wait.

Probably {$profile_url} or {$_user.profile_url}, but do a {debug} to see what you have available.

Put {debug} in your template and open the page and you'll get a popup with all available smarty variables listed.
