I've just updated the Jamroom Core download page:

http://www.jamroom.net/Downloads5

with Jamroom Core 5.0.2. This latest release of Jamroom 5 addresses the issues that have come up since version 5.0.1, as well as adds a lot of new tweaks and changes, as well as new functionality and fixes:

  • A new ability to sort profile items has been added - this lets your users sort how they want their audio items to appear on their profile (or blogs, videos, whatever).
  • A new "Link User Accounts" tool has been created in the User Accounts -> Tools section which allows you to easily add an existing User Account to more than 1 profile. After linking, you can unlink the additional profiles from the Modify User section for the specific user.
  • New ability to use "pagebreak" and "limit" parameters at the same time in a jrCore_list / jrCore_db_search_item call.
  • We've moved to a new "HTML checker" in this release - HTMLPurifier. It replaces the previous HTML Safe script that was being used, but was no longer being updated.
  • The bundled TinyMCE has been updated to version 3.5.8
  • Bugs were fixed in the core DataStore support for "return_count" and invalid page counts when using a group_by parameter with pagebreak.

Plus a lot more fixes and tweaks to just make everything work better.

We've also got a lot of module updates including updates so make sure and check out all the updated modules:

http://www.jamroom.net/Jamroom5_Modules

There are also 2 new modules available:

  • jrGeo - adds 2 new smarty Geo Location functions for use in templates (free)
  • jrProfileTweaks - allow your users to customize their profiles with a custom background image as well as select which profile page they want to be their profile index.

We've put in A LOT of work over the last 2 weeks to get 5.0.2 out, so please let us know if you see any issues. For a full list of the more significant changes, make sure and check out the Tracker:

http://www.jamroom.net/Tracker

We hope you enjoy the new release!

- Brian

Make sure you unzip the Gep location file that you downloaded - you'll see there is a .dat file inside called "GeoLiteCity.dat". That is what you need to upload.

Hope this helps!

You will need to increase your allowed post size in PHP:

http://www.jamroom.net/FAQ_2mb_PHP_Upload_Limit

that's for JR4 but the steps for updating your php.ini are the same.

If you don't see it released for jr5, it won't be compatible. That goes for any module.

To see all of the modules in the Super Pack click on the 'More Info' button in its marketplace listing.

That will take you to this url:

Down the road maybe - we've got a number of other things that are more pressing that will come first however.

Does JR5 have an option for us to allow our users to change CSS settings? Fonts, colors...??

Wondering if JR5 gives users the Store option to sell Merch like Mp3's or Tickets?
