The 60sec preview is working on the demo and cutting off at 60sec for songs that have a price on them.

Should work the same on a shared server I would expect.

just as a test I did install to a shared server I have and I had zero issues. Maby your files somehow have a bug in them. Maby try downloading a complete fresh new copyof the jamroom files and installing them again.

so if there no user adjustments and I only install the script, what is causing the issue , it makes no sense this is a server issue

I could create an account for you on my shared hosting. you could upload your installation the same as your doing now and it would just work. It leads me to believe its the hosting youre working with because that's the only diffrence. Not all hosting providers are equal and even companies that are big can still have issues. for example, I constantly had issues with godaddy and had to remove every website with them and will never use them again because they have issues with their hosting.

apples to apples & oranges to oranges.

They both have different installation requirements. A hosting environment could run them both. for some reason yours dosent. This is depending on again "How your environment is set up"

If your baking a pie (the pie being your server)

you have an apple (jamroom 4)

and now are trying oranges (jamroom 5)

and when you baked it your wondering why the pie dosent taste the same.

this was never an issue in jamroo4, and if jamroom 5 is better it should not have these issues . all I am trying to do is fix the preview length, the hosting providers points all fingers to the jamroom script and said there is nothing on the server that would make the song plays full length and for jamroom to say what on the server would cause this. paying foxy cart $20 a month when people can copy the full length is not cool .

why dosent my big twin (JR5) motor replace my Honda shadow (JR4) motor?

my mechanic (the Server) said its Hondas fault.

the garage has held both bikes but I don't understand why they cant just put the Harley motor on the Honda bike.

I called redline (foxycart) to see why im paying for gas and fluids on a motor that dosent run.

Maby try different hosting and see if it dosent help you out. When I was with godaddy they constantly blamedmy scripts or my code or whatever.. they never say oh its because we block ports 123, 456, 789 and if they did they would loose a customer because you would be mad and find different hosting.

Hey if its working on everyone elses hosting and theirs is shared too maby the problem isn't the JR files but the environment your putting this in.

Anyways ive helped you out plenty with this and resolved your problem.

When you go into System Check do you see any "red" icons for FFMpeg or jrAudio -> Sox? The only reason it would not work is if your server is not allowing the preview length to be created.

Send me your Jamroom URL, FTP login and password, and admin login and password - something is going on I've never seen before, so I would have to have access to your site to check it out.

support [at] jamroom [dot] net

Thanks!
