where is the sign up template for the elastic skin - i want to change username to artist name

The signup (and login) forms are part of the jrUser module.
In the Admin Control Panel, select the jrUser module from the 'accordeon' menu on the left, then click on it's language tab. You can edit the laugage strings from there.
