We ran our dev site on AWS for a while, but EBS is so slow that I would not recommend it. AWS is fairly high priced for what you get, so I'd recommend alternate hosting - i.e. Digital Ocean, Linode, Rackspace, etc.

Hope this helps!

Can I pay for a Jamroom5 install on Digital Ocean? I need help setting up the vm too. Is that something JR can do for me entirely if I furnish the DO login credentials?

Oh one more question - has anyone tested the behaviour of JR4 site that is migrated to JR5 site w/ OneAll social module enabled?

I want to make sure that in the new system, if a user logs in with FB connect, it will detect their existing migrated account, and not create a new one.

TIA!
Brian

Nevermind I got the droplet setup. I swear I had trouble last time I looked into it.

What Linux build are you using for your JR site on DigitalOcean? Will Ubuntu 12.10 x64 work?
