I would like to be able to determine which index.tpl file is selected in the Jamroom Config (for the default index.php script).

so I can do {$SYSTEM_INDEXTPL} = default_index.tpl

When I say system wide, I mean everywhere- even the artist themes Smile

It would be really great!

I may be off base herre? But - If I'm thinking what your thinking, that would make it easy to "template" your whole site. It would be super easy to deploy a new "template" site wide if a variable could be used on php pages and smarty pages! MAYBE {system_header} and {system_footer}. Something like /templates/site_template/system_header.tpl. Just drop in the variables on your index, ranking, charts, themes . . .

This should already be available in all of the Smarty templates (but not the themes) since the function I use to show Smarty templates includes all of the system variables into it as well (just note that they are lower case). Here's how to see everything that is available. Put this line at the very top of your Smarty template that you want to see the variables in:

Code

{debug output="html"}

Then re-load the template in your browser (i.e. run ranking.php, etc.) and you will see a full dump of all the variables that are available to that template.

The one you are looking for DJ is {$index_template} .

Hope this helps!

- Brian

p.s. I'll try to get the full list into the docs soon as well (something I've overlooked).

Nice, got it!

Now I just need the artist themes to be caught up and we're rockin' and rollin'.

Thanks!
