New signup error? I see that this issue has popped up before but I did not see a resolution. I copied the 2.66v of jamroom-misc.inc.php back in and still am getting the error.

Warning: strstr(): Empty delimiter. in /home/guitaris/public_html/artists/include/jamroom-misc.inc.php on line 206

}
$_nna[] = stripslashes($v);
}
foreach ($_nna as $val) {
if (strstr($name,$val)) { <-----line 206
return(false);
}

Dazed -

can you let me know the value you have for the "Artist Name Bad Characters" setting (Jamroom Config -> Artist Account Settings).

Thanks!

- Brian

Yes - a space between the characters is what you want, but if you want to NOT allow a space, make sure and use the keyword "SPACE" in the setting.

I just tested with thsi string and am not seeing an issue - can you redownload Jamroom 2.66 and make sure you are using the latest jamroom/include/jamroom-misc.inc.php file from inside - there was a change a day or so ago to the function that controls this and I want to be sure you are using the latest version.

Hope this helps!

- Brian

downloaded and copied the same file but this was downloaded last night. Didn't hurt to do it again.

Please feel free to create a test acct.

There's a "bad" (empty - likely a control) character being seen by Jamroom in your setting for the "Artist Name Bad Characters" or the "Artist URL Bad Characters". I'd recomend deleting the values in those fields and re-enter them - don't cut and paste as that can enter control characters.

Hope this helps!

Check this out...just found the same thing by filling in the artist name, username, and 1 password in the signup form:

Quote:
Warning: strstr(): Empty delimiter. in /home/goarmy/public_html/include/jamroom-misc.inc.php on line 206

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/goarmy/public_html/include/jamroom-misc.inc.php:206) in /home/goarmy/public_html/signup.php on line 677

Like this:

username: test
password1: test
password2:
email1:
email2:
Band Name: test

Hit the submit button and watch the sparks... I haven't modified the allowed characters at all, this is a fresh default installation from about 4 minutes ago Smile

Oddly, I have no issue at all with my production site... I wonder if the allowed characters is installing something bogus?

If anyone else has this problem, you simply need to go in to Jamroom Config -> Artist Account Settings then save...nothing else is needed.
