I requested help from my web site provider because I was getting a message "unable to connect to the database server - verify settings and ensure database is running", when I was trying to update the install.php

I don't know what they did, but I deleted my database and all the Jamroom files to start over againg. But when I type install.php the login.php page appears.

Since I can't read PHP what would make login.php page appear when I type install.php. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank You,

Gary

try deleting the jamroom/config/.htpasswd file in your master config directory. it contains your encrypted database settings, and was probably left there after the failed install. delete it and you can re-install Jamroom.

Hope this helps!
