I'd need to see a preview, but blocks on both sides may leave the middle section too tight unless you up the overall width of the template.

Personally I have never had a problem with the dropdowns, in IE5, 6, 7, Firefox 1.5 and 2

the width will have to be extended to allow a 3rd column, which in my opinion the cobalt theme is too thin as is. the monochrome has actually been widened a bit and can still stand to be extended another 200px to accommodate a third column. then again there is always the idea that never will 100% of people be satisfied with anything, in that case then they can go elsewhere for their free themes LOL

i personally do not use any version of cobalt on my personal site and have no intentions on using any of the themes/skins that i do for free download on my site. it is just for fun in the spare time
