Hey. What's the Flash Player about in the Power Pack?
I have it uploaded but can't see anything on the site that it is for.
Can someone explain?

As of Jamroom 3.0.20 the Cobalt Theme has built in code to support the flash players. If your running that version of Jamroom or higher, the Cobalt Theme should automatically display the flash players on your artist/band pages.

Oh ok.
And if my artists are using other themes, this will not work?

The flash players should work in any theme you install the <object <embed code in. You would just need to copy the players to the theme directory you want to use them in and then copy the player code from the Cobalt Theme, edit it as you need to for the new theme and intall it in the templates where you want it to show up.

They should work fine.........

Where do I find the codes etc in the Cobalt theme?
Like, I don't want to use the Cobalt theme. And I want my users to have the advantage of the flash player instead of their Windows Media Player opening anytime they want to play a song.

You seem to be usig the Oinkba Monochrome Theme and I don't have that theme installed on my test site to help give you advice on how you could install the players there. But you can find some of the player code in the Cobalt Theme in these templates.

1. player.tpl
2. side.tpl
3. side.inc.tpl

If the Monochrome Theme doesn't have built in support for flash players, you may have to modify several templates including the ones that list the songs on your artist pages in order to get them to play through the players or have the players popup when songs are played. Or you could see if Oinkba has an upgrade to your current theme that would already support the players.

I just don't know enough about this theme to be much help at this time.

Ok.
I looked in the Monochrome Templates and they have the exact same as the Cobalt and the codes are already there so it does support the player but it's just not showing for that theme.

I just spotted something.
If you go to this Artist's page and click Comments under Details, you will see that the Flash Player is displayed.
Now we are getting places.

How do I get it to display on the main profile page and on their Audio and Video pages?

Then all you should have to do is install the Cobalt players into the theme/Monochrome directory and find the player code in the Monochrome templates and change the player names and sizes in that code to the new Cobalt players. You can use the Cobalt templates as a guide.

Hope this makes sense.......

I can't see that because it says I must be logged in.
And since I dont have that theme, I don't really know what to tell you on what needs to be done to get it on those pages.

Make sure the .swf files are copied from the Cobalt directory to the Monochrome directory.

Note that Monochrome is not a supported theme, so moving this over to the thrid party support area (it's not an Oinkba skin either).

Thanks!

- Brian

Ok so basically, we pay for a feature and there's no support for it?
